Fighting Food Cravings

I have the same crav-ings that I always did, but I’ve gotten better at dealing with them as I’ve gotten older. It’s all in how you look at it. Success in bodybuilding isn’t about doing what you want to do— it’s about doing what you need to do. Lifting weights is something we all want to do, but most of us don’t want to diet or do cardio. But we need to if we want to get ripped and win! One trick I found if I’m absolutely starv-ing and craving junk is to eat unsalted almonds, one at a time, and drink a lot of cold water with them. They take a long time to chew and eat, so usually I can knock out the cravings with just a handful. My jaw is usually aching by then too, and that makes me not want to eat anything else. If I am craving sweets, some-times I will have a handful of grapes, again one at
a time. Other guys chew sugarless gum. My teeth are pretty bad already, so the last thing I want to do is make them any worse by chomping on a pack or two of gum every day.
